We apologize for the interruption to your picture

Your Widdershins blogging crew is working on some things and we’ll be resuming normal blogging soon.  Until then please consider this the ultimate of open threads.

  • What’s the latest outrage from Bernie that’s got your goat?
  • Have some good Hillary news you want to share?
  • Is there something else politically or otherwise that’s caught your attention?

If you have anything like that you want to share this is definitely the post to share those things on.

As MB said in the post below, we’re going to have something up either later today or tomorrow.

Ok. Fredster, I hope you’re feeling better.

@2: Feeling a little bit better. I knew better than to try to get to the doc-in-the-box today, a Monday. Normally waaay too many people who called in sick for Monday and need a doc’s note. They may give me another dose of the prednisone and I wish they would give me some “good” cough medicine – some that would stop the coughing at night. That’s when it’s worse and when I’d like to sleep! Grrrr!! 👿

Nowadays, I’m loath to link to anything from MSNBC but this is a pretty good article about Palin speaking in Wisconsin for Trump. It did not go well at all.

Sorry to hear the Widdershins crew is struggling with colds, allergies etc. Get well quick!

This is quite an article on what Bernie’s camp did wrong. While I agree with some of it, the rest is laughable.
1. Bernie’s campaign tried to get him to go negative much earlier. (I don’t doubt that). About the Goldman Sachs speeches, Bernie said ‘she has a right to make money’. No kidding.
2. Cancelling his trip to SC after the church shootings WAS stupid.
3. Instead of doing “retail politics” in Iowa, he chose rallys. Bernie told advisors ‘If I’m at a diner having coffee, I don’t want candidates (huh?) coming up and talking to me.

I’m getting the biggest kick out of Berned’s reason for not releasing his taxes. (Mr. Where-are-the-transcripts-of-every-speech-you-ever-gave Sanders.) “My wife does the taxes and I don’t know where she put them.”

Well, to be more precise, “and she won’t release them.”

It’s even better than Trumped’s “I can’t release them. Every single year ever is being audited at this very moment.”

And these people expect to run the government. 😯

From the NY Times article:

By the time he caught fire with voters this winter and personally began to believe he could defeat Mrs. Clinton, she was already on her way to building an all but insurmountable delegate lead.

Translation: When he began believing his own bullshite. (bolding above is mine)

quixote@6: Oh that’s hysterical. Perhaps he could say the dog ate the tax returns.

Ok, sorry, but I’m going to say something about Palin’s hair here. I’ve seen many women wear that intentional ‘tousled’ hair style. But when you combine it with an incoherent speech? OMG.

Then again there’s this, which sounds like Alito hopes to come before the court:

The court did not rule on a separate question: whether it would be constitutional for states to use the voter-eligible population for reapportionment if they chose to do so. The Obama administration argued that it would not be constitutional.

@11 & 12, first, I would be moving to a cave if Thomas agreed on anything that would acknowledge racial disparity — it would surely be a sign of the apocalypse. Alito, pissing on history probably has Scalia spinning so fast he’s drilling through his coffin.

With a strong acknowledgement I think the writing is on the wall and in any event, no case will come before the Court until next year and hopefully, there will be another sane voice added to the number. Seven to two is a bad place from which to start.

Here’s an interesting little article that was over at Skydancing.

Check the comments. From the Bernie supporters…its okay to invest in funds that are tied to big banks and big pharma. It’s just not good to give paid speeches to Wall Street firms.

Glad to see this from Robby Mook before WI election tomorrow. Check out the numbers.

Independents are undercover partisans

The last paragraph is hilarious.

As we’ve written elsewhere, supporting Trump and Sanders allows people to reject the established party without doing anything too crazy like voting for a third party. In this way, Trump and Sanders are the perfect candidates to profit off of the rise of undercover partisans who are tired of partisan partisans but are, nonetheless, still partisans themselves.

Sorry about that y’all…I dozed off for awhile o_O
Was flipping through a magazine and before I realized it: zzzzzz

@17: Look who’s doing italics!! 🙂

It looks like they got the particulars worked out and there will be a debate between Hillary and Sanders on Apr. 14th.

Naturally Sanders’ campaign had to put some snark in there:

“Fortunately, we were able to move a major New York City rally scheduled for April 14 to the night before,” Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said. “We hope the debate will be worth the inconvenience for thousands of New Yorkers who were planning to attend our rally on Thursday but will have to change their schedules to accommodate Secretary Clinton’s jam-packed, high-dollar, coast-to-coast schedule of fundraisers all over the country.”

Gawd, what a schmuck. He has a .0000000% chance of winning New York and will only further embarrass himself in a debate with her.

New post up folks.

Wow, friends are going whacko over socialism or something. I guess some are upset because Bern may win WI today. Whatever. We’ll move on to NY. Some guy on CNN said (a couple of days ago) that in 2008, Obama won WI by 18 points and came out with just 10 more delegates. I don’t know if that’s accurate and I don’t care to look it up. I’m not freaking out or changing parties over it either. 🙂 Go Hillary!!
