The Widdershins

Archive for August 11th, 2013

Good Sunday, Widdershins.

At one time or another, we have all experienced the pain of a break-up.  Whether it was with a BFF or the love of our lives du jour, break-ups hurt.  As our Prez and his on-and-off bromance with Vladimir Putin has hit the Snowden speedbump, their face-to-face meeting at the forthcoming G20 conference has been cancelled.  I’m uncertain if this means they are truly broken-up, or if they have just agreed to meet with some other people for a while.

Therefore, let us take today to celebrate break-up tunes.  They carried us along from despair to determination, so let’s be inclusive.  Some songs got us through a break-up, and others still remind us of one.  I can’t think of a single genre of music that does not touch on this part of the human experience, so everyone should be able to think of something to post.

Go for it in this otherwise open thread.
