Lazy Sunday Music: Firsts

Posted on: January 6, 2013

For the first time in 2013, Good Sunday Widdershins!  Just because it is the first or number one, numero uno -  music post of the year, we will celebrate “the firsts” and “the ones” of music.  The latitude here is simply enormous.

You can post songs with “first” and/or”:one” in the title, artist(s), and/or lyrics.

You may also post songs that went to  number one on the charts, or were the first song recorded by a favorite artist.

If you are one of the classically trained Widdershins, there are first movements, addagios and the like.

Whatever – or whomever – best represents your first, let’s here it today in this otherwise open thread.  Have a great Sunday y’all.

(1) Just Dropped In - Kenny Rogers and the First Edition

(2) The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack

(3) One Tin Soldier - The Original Caste

(4) One Fine Day - The Chiffons

(5) One Love - Playing for Change
